SAL Announces Best Player Award Saturday, October 12th, 2052 Juan Armijo of the Hagerstown Suns had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2052. The 21-year-old third baseman put up a .331 average and a .370 on-base percentage, piling up 187 hits, 52 doubles, 5 triples, 18 home runs, 101 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 14. Luis Martinez of the Hickory Crawdads finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Jeff Mariscal of the Lexington Legends finished third with 1 first place vote.
