SAL's Top Player, Diaz of Delmarva Monday, July 8th, 2052 It was an exceptional week for Hector Diaz of the Delmarva Shorebirds. First he beat the devil out of the ball, hitting .483 and as you would expect, he was voted the Player of the Week in the South Atlantic League. Last week Diaz went 14-for-29, notched 3 home runs and 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. All in all, a very good week for him. This year Diaz has socked 102 hits in 311 at-bats for a .328 average with 17 home runs. He is getting on base at a .382 pace and his totals also include 58 RBIs and 55 runs scored. |
