Playoffs? No Chance for State College Monday, August 20th, 2057 The efforts of the State College Spikes weren't consistent enough this season to have any real shot at making the playoffs. And now they have been officially and mathematically eliminated from the postseason chase. The Spikes have missed the playoffs 34 times in their 41 years as a New York-Penn League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2049. In the last 10 seasons, the Spikes have missed the playoffs 7 times. State College has won the Round 2 2 times in their history. |
