Friday, August 15th , 2070
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Milwaukee (SS-A)'s Jose Delgado made it happen today against the Royals. Everything came together at the plate for the 19-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Brewers to a 6-5 win at Ballpark of Fremont.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Delgado said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."

Jose Delgado struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Randy Peters in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and doubled in the 13th.

In his stats this season, Delgado has posted a batting average of .259 with 51 hits in 197 at-bats, 7 home runs and 33 RBIs. He has also scored 22 runs, walked 8 times and compiled a .282 OBP.
