Ortiz Smacks 5 Hits for Braves Friday, August 11th, 2051 It seemed that Danville second baseman Jesus Ortiz could do no wrong as the Braves KO'd the Giants, 9-8 today. Ortiz rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Giants hurlers were throwing. "I think the Braves were stealing signs," growled one unhappy San Francisco (Rk+) fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Ortiz in the postgame press interview. Jesus Ortiz singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
