4-Game Suspensions for Girardi-Sadler Fight Friday, August 8th , 2110 Hot tempers flared and a few punches were thrown at the San Diego (Rk+) and Baltimore (Rk+) game yesterday and ended up with two players ejected. Lee Girardi of the Padres and Dan Sadler of the Orioles have now been reprimanded and issued 4-game suspensions by the league commissioner for their parts in the fracas. Girardi is hitting .313 this year with 2 home runs and 24 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .400, 15 walks and scored 23 times. Sadler has taken the hill for 2 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 2-2 record with a 2.32 ERA. The Baltimore (Rk+) reliever has limited opposing batters to a .248 batting average. |
