Pirates Hernandez to Miss Year Monday, September 16th , 2109 Ramon Hernandez has to call it a season. The Bristol Pirates reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the San Diego (Rk+) Padres and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Hernandez was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 11-12 months. This year, Hernandez has no saves in 31 relief appearances with a 1-1 record and 6.21 ERA. |
