Pellegrino Decides on Football Career, Passes on Baseball Wednesday, December 12th, 2057 Johnson City multi-sport star Jacob Pellegrino has decided to discontinue his baseball career and focus full-time on his football career. Despite his love of baseball, Pellegrino says he likes his prospects on the gridiron better than the diamond. "It was a tough decision, but I think this is the right one for me," said the Cardinals shortstop.
