Johnson City Wins Round 1 Monday, September 21st , 2111 The Johnson City Cardinals triumphed 10-2 over the Baltimore (Rk+) Orioles at Howard Johnson Field in the Round 1 to capture it 3-1. The victory advanced the Cardinals to the Round 2. For his superb play in the series, Cardinals third baseman Justin Wilson garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .385, scoring 6 runs and batting in 5. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Round 2," Wilson said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Johnson City Cardinals will play against the Princeton Rays in the next round. Princeton won their series against the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants 3 games to 0.
