Wilhelm and Alba Suspended for Free-for-All Monday, September 12th , 2107 Scott Wilhelm of Elizabethton and Gus Alba of Bluefield were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Wilhelm will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Alba was given 9 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. In this current campaign Wilhelm is hitting at a .247 clip with 12 home runs and 43 RBIs. This year, Alba has worked 50.1 innings with 32 strikeouts en route to a 1-3 record and 2.50 ERA. |
