Reliever of the Year Goes to Spencer Monday, October 13th , 2098 At the young age of only 23, Chris Spencer has been named the Appalachian League Reliever of the Year winner for 2098. The future appears bright for the Kingsport Mets relief ace, who captured the award with no saves in 21 relief appearances, 64 strikeouts in 45.2 innings and a record of 4-1 to go with his 1.58 ERA. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 14. Shane Hershey of the Kingsport Mets finished second in voting, while Chris Mlnarik of the Princeton Rays finished third with 2 first place votes.
