APP Best Manager Picked, Burlington's Elizondo Winner Wednesday, October 16th , 2097 Willie Elizondo, skipper of the Burlington Royals, was voted 2097 Appalachian League Manager of the Year and accepted the award earlier today. He guided Burlington to first place in the East with a 59-19 record. "I'm very happy about this," he said at the press conference. "But I'm more happy about what my boys did on the field. They battled their butts off for me all year. They should get the credit." |
