Escoboza Tosses No-Hitter Against Indians
Friday, September 21st, 2057
It was a fantastic day for Texas (AZL) Rangers starter William Escoboza and a lousy day for the Cleveland (AZL) Indians.
The Texas (AZL) hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Indians, as the Rangers cruised to a 6-0 win. When it was all over, Escoboza was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Escoboza said later.
He rang up 3 strikeouts and allowed 3 walks while shutting Cleveland (AZL) down at Surprise Stadium.
Escoboza has made 10 starts, tossed 63.2 innings, struck out 39 batters and walked 28. His record is 6-1 with a 2.54 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .179 batting average.
