PIO Star of the Week Announced Monday, July 18th , 2078 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Pioneer League, but last week Johnny Laureano of the Missoula Osprey reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Laureano rocked opposing pitching for a .533 average (16-for-30), no home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. Looking at his present stats, Laureano has compiled a .385 batting average in 24 games with a .438 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 19 runs. |
