Romero Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Tuesday, February 5th, 2036 The Lutz Warriors may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 5-4 to the Winter Garden Warriors, but Jeremy Romero continued to hit like a god. The third baseman collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Romero is playing great and is on fire right now," Warriors manager Mike Rabelo said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Romero was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Jeremy Romero tripled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Danny Silva in the 9th. This season Romero has hit 5 home runs and posted a .355 batting average. |
