Wolverines Venegas Out Rest Of Season
Thursday, February 1st, 2035
The doctors have spoken and Alfonso Venegas of the Wellington Wolverines didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Venegas sustained his season-ending injury during the Altamonte Springs Patriots game yesterday at Lynbrook Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Wellington medical staff reported Venegas had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months.
