Skipper Santos Banished from Dugout by Wildcats Saturday, March 3rd, 2035 It came as no surprise when Jon Santos was fired from his post as the manager of the Winter Park Wildcats, not even for the man himself. Speaking to reporters minutes after being informed of his termination, Santos said, "It's no big shock I guess, but it still hurts. Nobody ever likes to be told they can't do a job they love anymore." Santos was a fan favorite and much-heralded for being a player's manager, team general manager Joe Unknown said. "At the end of the day baseball is about what happens between the lines. We'd love to have kept a quality baseball man like Jon in the Winter Park organization, but he felt it was better to move on." |
