Vera Sidelined, Listed DTD by New York Saturday, May 27th , 2073 New York Yankees fans will be disappointed after today's announcement from the team. Jonathan Vera, the team's star shortstop, will be sidelined up to one week. Vera sustained a sore calf muscle during a game against the Braves. He did it while running the bases. So far on the season Vera is hitting .256 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 44 hits and played in 45 games. |
