Chicago RP Fields Will Miss 6 Weeks Saturday, May 12th , 2091 Watching Aaron Fields getting helped off the field today at U.S. Cellular Field, fans of the Chicago White Sox feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 6 weeks with a partially torn labrum. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Fields suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Hustle. For the season Fields has made 13 relief appearances, recorded no saves, compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark and a 0.00 ERA. In pitching 17.1 innings, he has totaled 15 strikeouts and no walks. |
