Banuelos and Doubleday Suspended for Free-for-All
Tuesday, April 15th, 2059
Yesterday at Citizens Bank Park Rodrigo Banuelos and Alec Doubleday got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.

Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Banuelos will have to sit out 3 while Doubleday would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.

In 9 games this season Banuelos has compiled a .250 batting average with 6 hits and no home runs. He has also scored 2 times and knocked in 2 runs.
