5-Hit Blitz by Detroit's Lawler Monday, April 15th , 2097 Detroit right fielder Steve Lawler had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards as the Tigers picked up a 16-4 victory. "He was patient up there today," Detroit skipper Chris Gasparro told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Lawler has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Steve Lawler singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jeremy Estevez in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th.
