Braves Closer Hanley Hurt
Wednesday, May 29th , 2109
When Bill Hanley was hurt against the Washington Nationals, the Atlanta Braves were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old closer suffered a torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Hanley would miss 4-5 months of the season.
For the season, Hanley has earned 2 saves, worked 14 innings, fanned 25 hitters and recorded a 3.21 ERA. He has held opposing teams to a .192 batting average.
