Player of the Week Trophy to Celeste Monday, July 12th , 2088 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Oakland right fielder Ben Celeste. He went on a rampage last week against AL hurlers and rapped out 11 hits in 27 at-bats for a .407 average while hitting 4 home runs, driving in 9 runs and scoring 7 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the American League Player of the Week trophy. Celeste was honored today at a press conference. In his 2088 season totals, Celeste has 15 home runs, .301 BA, .338 OBP, 51 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |
