Mata Hits for Cycle Against Minnesota

Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Target Field. Alex Mata of the Oakland Athletics accomplished the feat against Minnesota Twins.
Mata went 4-for-5 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 11-9 Oakland victory.
"That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Mata said after the game.
Mata also scored 1 run and had 4 RBI in a day to remember for both Mata and the crowd at Target Field.
Alex Mata singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jamel Russell in the 9th.
Mata is presently hitting at a .257 pace with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs. He has played in 87 games and scored 45 times.
