Short Joins 3-HR Club

Fans seated in the bleacher section at Coca-Cola Field were taking cover all day long as Chris Short zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power.
The big game from the Atlanta left fielder helped the Braves take the victory, 5-1, over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
"I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing."
For the game, he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 3 and scored 3 runs.
Chris Short hit a solo-shot off Matt Love in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Matt Love in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Tommy Gardner in the 7th.
This season Short is batting .302 with 29 RBIs, 27 runs scored and 14 home runs.
