Setback for Mariners and Phil Robbins Monday, June 1st , 2111 Just when it looked like Phil Robbins would soon return to the Seattle Mariners, the second baseman suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a fractured cheekbone. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Robbins experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be out of action for at least 8 weeks. Phil Robbins is expected to undergo surgery in Seattle(Washington) tomorrow. In his 2111 season totals, Robbins has 3 home runs, .219 BA, .268 OBP, 16 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |
