No Late-Season Magic Coming: Washington Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 29th, 2050 Drake Owenby, the manager of the Washington Nationals, said his players are "devastated" to have missed the playoffs. Today it became official -- the club has run out of games and was mathematically eliminated from qualifying. The Nationals have missed the playoffs 75 times in their 81 years as a Major League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 32nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2017. |
