Villegas Gone for Season in Detroit Tuesday, July 23rd , 2080 The season is ending on a bad note for Alexis Villegas, starting pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Villegas was hurt against the Kansas City Royals while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 11 months. So far this season Villegas has a 5-3 record with a 3.09 ERA. |
