Bright Goes 5-for-6 Against Miami Thursday, July 14th , 2072 It was a hits blitz for Brian Bright at Marlins Park today. The Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder tore into the Miami Marlins for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Marlins swept past the Dodgers 6-5 to ruin Bright's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Los Angeles manager Dan Hoagland explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Brian was nice but it wasn't enough." Brian Bright singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Manny Diaz in the 8th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
