Veteran Aguilar Hits Three Dingers Saturday, May 18th, 2058 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Carlos Aguilar discovered that today at Comerica Park, as he smashed three home runs during the 6-3 Detroit Tigers win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Detroit first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Aguilar finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats and 3 RBIs. Carlos Aguilar hit a solo-shot off Salvador Fabian in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Robbie Daniels in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Robbie Daniels in the 8th.
