Hede and Clymer Fight, Get Suspended
Sunday, June 25th, 2062
If there wasn't a history between John Hede of Minnesota and Mike Clymer of Detroit, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 9 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Hede said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Hede is hitting .212 for the season with 19 home runs, 58 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 231 at-bats and played in 66 games.
So far in 22 appearances this season, Clymer has recorded 5 wins and sustained 5 losses. He has pitched 57.1 innings, yielded 61 hits, fanned 49 and has a 4.24 ERA.
