Chicago's Matt Slay Suffers Setback Tuesday, June 27th, 2062 The Chicago White Sox will have to do without third baseman Matt Slay even longer than expected. Team doctors say that Slay's recovery from a fractured thumb has not gone well and more time will be needed to treat it successfully. The White Sox trainer indicated it would be at least 8 weeks before they would consider activating Slay. Matt Slay is expected to undergo surgery in Chicago(Illinois) tomorrow. Slay is batting .111 with 0 home runs and 0 RBIs this season. |
