Seattle-Cincinnati Announce Swap Thursday, August 7th , 2087 Newspapers in Seattle and Cincinnati reported that the Mariners have reached a deal sending 23-year old minor league LHP Eric Reed and a 5th round draft pick to the Reds for 37-year old 3B Edwin Avalos and 29-year old RHP Mario Escobar. Cincinnati will retain a portion of Avalos's remaining contract. So far this season Avalos is batting .238 with 14 home runs, 33 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 71 hits in 298 at-bats, 53 walks and a .354 OBP. Avalos has played in 95 games. |
