Kase and Ornelas Brawl, League Suspends Them Saturday, June 20th , 2111 After an intense confrontation, both the Diamondbacks Tim Kase and the White Sox Raul Ornelas were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Arizona-Chicago game. Tim Kase will miss 4 games, while Raul Ornelas was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tim Kase commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." To date this year, Kase is batting .263 with 5 home runs. This season, Ornelas has a 1-2 record with a 5.83 ERA. |
