National League Best Pitcher Named Wednesday, November 22nd, 2045 A sparkling 14-9 mark for the year just about says it all -- that's what Dan Howery of the Pittsburgh Pirates put up this season. That's why the National League rated him the #1 hurler in the league and named him the 2045 Cy Young Award winner. He held opposing clubs to a .205 batting average and compiled a 3.08 ERA. Howery stood out with 257 strikeouts while giving up 144 hits and 67 walks in 192.2 innings. Emmett Hunter of the Philadelphia Phillies finished second in voting, while Matt Whisler of the Pittsburgh Pirates finished third. |
