Toronto SP Mike Williams Injured Monday, June 16th , 2110 The Toronto Blue Jays were dealt a severe blow when Mike Williams was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the New York Yankees. After the game, the team trainer reported Williams might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 27-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take Williams at least 7 months to heal. In 13 starts this year, Williams has fashioned a 7-1 record and a 4.87 ERA. |
