Boston Fired up Over 'Torres Moments' Friday, June 17th, 2067 Members of the Boston Red Sox know their manager does his job with emotion, and it's a quality that is endearing to the team. The club has coined Robby Torres's emotional outbursts as "Torres Moments" and said they are well received. "It shows he's passionate about the game and wants to win," said Andy Dover. "When he blows up at something in the dugout, or in the clubhouse, I think it sharpens our focus as a team, and gets the guys fired up." Torres laughed when told his emotional outbursts have been coined with a nickname. "This is just the way I manage and they way I go about my life. I'm not going to hide my emotions," he said. "If that fires the boys up, that's a bonus."" |
