Alfaro Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, May 18th , 2114 Blake Alfaro has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Atlanta shortstop picked up 1 more today against the Colorado Rockies and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Braves won the game, 3-0. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Blake Alfaro singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. So far on the season, Alfaro is hitting .376 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 53 hits and played in 37 games. |
