Deacon Crowned Top AL Hitter in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2090 Yazid Deacon of the Toronto Blue Jays swung a mean bat for the last few weeks and was acclaimed the American League Batter of the Month for July. The 25-year-old right fielder slapped out a .391 batting average, 11 home runs, 26 RBIs, 18 runs scored and a .455 on-base percentage. Deacon is batting .280 this season in 95 games with 26 home runs, 72 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 87 hits in 311 at-bats. |
