Allen Blisters Los Angeles Saturday, August 16th , 2081 The 5th time was not the charm for Ted Allen today. The second baseman for the Colorado Rockies hit the milestone today at Colorado Field, but it was the Los Angeles Dodgers that salvaged a 15-14 victory. Allen finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Los Angeles manager Dan Hoagland said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Allen declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Ted Allen singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
