Corter led his club to a 16-7 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals today at Busch Stadium, smoking St. Louis pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 30-year-old second baseman later called the victory "sweet." Brandon Corter singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
