Rowdy Players Suspended by League Sunday, September 2nd , 2085 Luis Leyva of the St. Louis Cardinals and Luis Torres of the Las Vegas Hustle will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cardinals-Hustle game at Busch Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Leyva and Torres will begin serving them soon. Currently Leyva is batting .218 with 14 home runs and 68 RBIs. This year Torres has made 37 starts, thrown 230.2 innings, fanned 178 batters and walked 56. His won-lost record is 9-17 with a 4.60 ERA. |
