AL Rookie Vote Goes to Porras Saturday, October 1st , 2089 Youngster Pedro Porras emerged as the latest American League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Toronto deserved the honor, batting .302 with 8 home runs and 16 RBI. Is the month of September a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Porras enjoy the limelight. Porras has a .270 average and a .310 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 141 hits, 36 home runs and driven in 96 runs. |
