NL's #1 Player, Farmer of Washington Monday, September 13th , 2083 It was a fantastic week for Washington first baseman Ryan Farmer and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the National League Player of the Week Award. Last week Farmer hammered the ball at a torrid .407 pace, going 11-for-27 with 5 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This year Farmer has socked 187 hits in 570 at-bats for a .328 average with 54 home runs. He is getting on base at a .390 pace and his totals also include 138 RBIs and 102 runs scored. |
