Ellis and Estes Swapped Saturday, August 9th , 2104 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Arizona and Toronto as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 25-year old 1B Brian Ellis and 23-year old 1B Leo Partida to the Blue Jays and 17-year old minor league LF Austin Estes, 20-year old minor league 3B Scott Hoagland, a 1st round draft pick, and a 2nd round draft pick to the Diamondbacks. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Toronto GM. Thus far this year, Ellis is batting .282 with 24 home runs, 84 RBIs and 74 runs scored. |
