Molina and Cervantas Suspended for Free-for-All
Wednesday, August 31st , 2072
If there wasn't a history between Luis Molina of New York and Tony Cervantas of San Francisco, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 3 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Molina said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
For the season Molina is currently batting .314 with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. In 95 games he has reached base at a .389 rate and scored 49 runs to date.
Thus far this season Cervantas has saved 1 games. His won-lost mark is 6 wins and 6 losses with 86 strikeouts in 115 innings, along with a 6.97 ERA.
