MLB News: Playoffs begin Wednesday, October 5th , 2078 The Major League Baseball playoffs start today! Only a handful of teams remain in the running for the ultimate prize -- the World Series championship. It's playoff time -- a time of glory and victory awaits one of the teams. The team that rises to each eventful occasion -- the team that makes all the right plays at the right time. Today is the start of the Wildcard Series and here are the opening games: Cleveland Guardians (BYE), New York Yankees vs Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox (BYE), Houston Astros (BYE), Cincinnati Reds (BYE), Chicago Cubs vs Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres (BYE) and Atlanta Braves (BYE). |
