Boston Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Saturday, October 2nd , 2088 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Boston this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Boston Red Sox today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Red Sox manager Kenneth Muller, "but it never gets fun." Boston last appeared in the postseason in 2086. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 144 times in their 188 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Red Sox have only missed the playoffs once. Boston last won the World Series in 2035. |
