Washington Trades Morrell for Seattle's Juarez
Sunday, December 24th, 2056
It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Washington Nationals and Seattle Mariners finalized a trade today. Washington will send 22-year-old minor league RHP Zach Morrell and 22-year-old minor league RHP Salvatore Ayala to the Mariners, while the Nationals will receive 20-year-old minor league C Bill Beeler, 20-year-old minor league 1B Bobby Crain, 19-year-old minor league 3B Ryan Levine, 19-year-old minor league RF Orlando Juarez, a 1st round draft pick and a 2nd round draft pick.

"We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Nationals general manager Dan Silva said.

The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day.
