Limardo Given 2-Game Suspension
Sunday, September 29th , 2115
It got ugly on the field today in the Cardinals and Brewers game, when Antonio Limardo was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Limardo threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate.
League officials thought the St. Louis center fielder went too far and gave him a 2-game suspension.
"Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Limardo told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control."
For the year, Limardo is batting .198 with 1 home run.
