New York-Philadelphia Brawl, Hatcher and Bruder Suspended

Scott Hatcher of the New York Mets and Jimmy Bruder of the Philadelphia Phillies received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 2 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Citi Field.

In the current season, Hatcher has put up a .221 batting average with 47 hits, 8 home runs, 24 runs batted in and scored 30 runs.

Thus far this season, Bruder has worked 133 innings with 170 strikeouts en route to a 3-9 record and a 5.62 ERA.
